The joy of tweed! And not just a tweed base that is overdyed, but a yarn with contrast flecks carded in! We had been longing for just this yarn, then one day we met cute and have now moved in together at 930 Massachusetts St.

Kingston is a DK weight 3-ply yarn. It is woolen spun, for a soft, slightly fuzzy surface. The fiber is Targhee wool from the Finger Lakes region of New York. It is processed, dyed, and spun here in the US. The mill uses gentle processing rather than harsh chemicals, so don't be surprised by bits of plant material in the yarn. Think of it as being just a little closer to the sheep that produced it!

Kingston comes in a reeled hank, which must be wound into a ball before use. We are happy to wind the yarn for you at no charge, but this does make the yarn non-returnable. If you would like your skeins wound, please request it in the "Shipping Instructions" box during the checkout process.
