BEGINNING AMIGURUMI

Are you enchanted by cute amigurumi and want to make your own? Now you can! In this class you will learn how to use the basic stitches to create this adorable frog. Amigurumi patterns can be a little more challenging to follow than traditional crochet patterns, Rebecca will help you decipher how and where to put those increasing and decreasing single crochets. You will learn how to measure yourself and choose your desired fit, how to make a gauge swatch, join crochet pieces, and how to crochet ribbing. You will learn new stitches like how to make a magic ring, back loop only stitches, the granny stitch, and crochet ribbing. MY FIRST MITTENS

These cozy mittens will make scraping your windshield or walking your dog less chilly this winter. The Country Cottage mittens pattern ($5) features a ribbed, folded cuff and a beautifully textured fabric that keeps fingers warm and is gender neutral, so you can use the same pattern to make mittens for the whole family. These mittens are intermediate level crochet with some more advanced techniques including seaming pieces , binding off and casting on stitches in the middle of a project, increases, and using front post and back loop only crochet stitches. INTERMEDIATE KIDS' CROCHET-County Fair Chicken

Have you been following videos online for crochet projects but still feeling a little stumped on how to follow a written pattern? Make yourself a flock of chickens and learn to read written crochet patterns. You will learn seamless color changes, turning a circle into a square shape, how to seam crochet, and add decorative features onto a completed crochet piece. This class is for kids who can make basic crochet stitches without assistance and are ready to learn more. Recommended ages 8 and up. By Rebecca Cook.
