The classes listed below are suitable for crocheters who have been actively crocheting and would like to expand their technical skills. If you know how to crochet, but it has been a few years since you picked up a hook and yarn, please take the Introduction to Crochet class first. SKILL BUILDING & PROJECT CROCHET CLASSES BEGINNING AMIGURUMI Are you enchanted by cute amigurumi and want to make your own? Now you can! In this class you will learn how to use the basic stitches to create this adorable frog. Amigurumi patterns can be a little more challenging to follow than traditional crochet patterns, Rebecca will help you decipher how and where to put those increasing and decreasing single crochets. You will learn new stitches like how to make a magic ring, back loop only stitches, the granny stitch, and crochet ribbing. The Country Cottage mittens pattern ($5) features a ribbed, folded cuff and a beautifully textured fabric that keeps fingers warm and is gender neutral, so you can use the same pattern to make mittens for the whole family. These mittens are intermediate level crochet with some more advanced techniques including seaming pieces , binding off and casting on stitches in the middle of a project, increases, and using front post and back loop only crochet stitches.
