BEGINNING KNITTING FOR KIDS

Is your child interested in knitting but you're not sure where to begin?  This is the perfect class!  They will learn the basic techniques of casting on, binding off, seaming, and  knit and purl stitches while they make this fun ear warmer. You will need to buy one skein of worsted weight yarn (we recommend Encore), straight knitting needles size US 8, and a tapestry needle for seaming.  Recommended age: 8 and up.  By Debbie Matthias.

BEGINNING CROCHET FOR KIDS

Crochet is a great introduction for kids to get into the fiber arts.  They will learn the basic techniques of making a chain, seaming, and the single crochet stitch while they make this ear warmer.  You will need to purchase one skein of worsted weight yarn (we recommend Plymouth Encore)and a  crochet hook size F.  Recommended age: 8 and up.  By Debbie Mattias.

BEGINNING AMIGURUMI

Are you enchanted by cute amigurumi and want to make your own?  Now you can!  In this class we will learn how to use the basic stitches to create this adorable frog.  Amigurumi patterns can be a little more challenging to follow than traditional crochet patterns, Rebecca will help you decipher how and where to put those increasing and decreasing single crochets.  Adults and kids 10 and up can sign up for this class!  This is not a beginning crochet class, and you must have experience with basic crochet stitches.  By Rebecca Cook.

·         Yarn Barn will cancel a class 3 days prior to class start if the enrollment is below the minimum number; refunds will be issued.

·         Unless noted, materials are not included in the class fee; we have a recommended list of supplies for each class.

·         Students will receive a discount off most yarns during the class period.
