BEGINNING CROCHET FOR KIDS

Crochet is a great introduction for kids to get into the fiber arts. They will learn the basic techniques of making a chain, seaming, and the single crochet stitch while they make this cute amigurumi monster. You will need to purchase one skein of worsted weight yarn (we recommend Encore) and a G hook. Recommended age: 8 and up. By Debbie Matthias.

BEGINNING KNITTING FOR KIDS

Start knitting with this class by learning the basic techniques of casting on, binding off, seaming, and knit and purl stitches while making this fun ear warmer. You will need to buy one skein of super bulky yarn (we recommend Encore Mega), straight knitting needles size US 11, and a tapestry needle for seaming. Recommended age: 8 and up. By Debbie Matthias.

• Students must be 16 years or older to sign up for classes unless they are specifically kids' classes.
• Unless otherwise noted, cancellations must be made 3 days prior to class starting to receive a refund or store credit.
• Yarn Barn will cancel a class 3 days prior to class start if the enrollment is below the minimum number; refunds will be issued.
• Unless noted, materials are not included in the class fee; we have a recommended list of supplies for each class.
• Students will receive a discount off most yarns during the class period.
