If you are new to knitting and want to learn or if it has been a few years since you have picked up yarn and needles, these classes are a great way to get into knitting.



Learn basic knitting stitches while completing your first hat.  Hat will be knit in the round using the magic loop technique.  You will learn the foundations of knitting by learning in the continental style.  By the end of class, you will come away with a warm hat with a light texture and the skills to make the matching mitten set in the pattern.  By Rebecca Cook.

Is your child interested in knitting but you're not sure where to begin?  This is the perfect class!  They will learn the basic techniques of casting on, binding off, seaming, and the knit stitch while they make a small bean bag toy.  We will provide the pattern and beans for stuffing.  You will need to buy one skein worsted weight yarn (we recommend Encore), straight knitting needles size 7 or 8, and tapestry needle for seaming.  Recommended age: 8 and up.  By Bethanie Halsey.
