If you are new to crochet and want to learn or if it has been a few years since you have picked up hook and yarn, these classes are a great way to get into crochet.

INTRODUCTION TO CROCHET

Learn the basics of chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet and more while making a granny square.  You will work with two colors of worsted weight cotton yarn to make a square.  A good refresher course or one for the first-time crocheter. By Debbie Matthias.

BEGINNING CROCHET FOR KIDS—First Hat

Crochet is a great introduction for kids to get into the fiber arts.  They will learn the basic techniques of making a chain, seaming, and the single crochet stitch while they make their first hat.  You will need to purchase one skein bulky weight yarn (we recommend Vintage Chunky)  crochet hook size  9 mm).  Recommended age: 8 and up.  By Debbie Mattias.

BEGINNING CROCHET—Let’s Go to the Market!

Learn to crochet and make this colorful market bag, just in time for the farmer’s market this summer!  In this class you will learn how to single crochet, double crochet, crochet in the round, and change colors.  We are using a worsted weight cotton yarn and a size H crochet hook for this fun project.  By Rebecca Cook.

·         Unless otherwise noted, cancellations must be made 3 days prior to class starting to receive a refund or store credit.

·         Yarn Barn will cancel a class 3 days prior to class start if the enrollment is below the minimum number; refunds will be issued.

·         Unless noted, materials are not included in the class fee; we have a recommended list of supplies for each class.

·         Students will receive a discount off most yarns during the class period.
