If you are new to crochet and want to learn or if it has been a few years since you have picked up hook and yarn, these classes are a great way to get into crochet.

INTRODUCTION TO CROCHET

Learn the basics of chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet and more while making a granny square.  You will work with two colors of worsted weight cotton yarn to make a square.  A good refresher course or one for the first time crocheter. By Debbie Matthias.

 BEGINNING CROCHET FOR KIDS

Crochet is a great introduction for kids to get into the fiber arts.  They will learn the basic techniques of making a chain, seaming, and the single crochet stitch while they make this ear warmer.  You will need to purchase one skein of worsted weight yarn (we recommend Plymouth Encore)and a  crochet hook size F.  Recommended age: 8 and up.  By Debbie Mattias.

BEGINNING CROCHET—Cowl or Scarf

Learn foundational crochet stitches while creating your first cowl or scarf.  The pattern ($5) gives instructions for a traditional scarf or for a seamed cowl or infinity scarf.   You will learn how to follow a pattern using US crochet terms.  By the end of class, you will have a firm grasp on single, half double, and double crochet as well as a few more advanced stitches.  By Rebecca Cook.

·         Unless otherwise noted, cancellations must be made 3 days prior to class starting to receive a refund or store credit.

·         Yarn Barn will cancel a class 3 days prior to class start if the enrollment is below the minimum number; refunds will be issued.

·         Unless noted, materials are not included in the class fee; we have a recommended list of supplies for each class.

·         Students will receive a discount off most yarns during the class period.
