    If you are new to crochet and want to learn or if it has been a few years since you have picked up yarn and hooks, these classes are a great way to get into crochet.

    INTRODUCTION TO CROCHET

    Learn the basics of chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet and more while making a granny square. You will work with two colors of worsted weight yarn to make a square. A good refresher course or one for the first time crocheter. By Debbie Matthias.

    BEGINNING CROCHET-Scarf or Cowl

    You will learn how to crochet basic stitches and go beyond with this scarf or cowl. The Janessa Circle pattern designed by Aprile Mazey is a free pattern from Ravelry. Once you have learned all about chain, single, double, and front and back crochet, you will have an attractive scarf or learn to seam the edges to make a cowl. By Debbie Matthias.

    INTRODUCTION TO CROCHET FOR KIDS

    Crochet is a great introduction for kids to get into the fiber arts. Learn the basic techniques of making a chain, single crochet, and changing colors by making this fun little owl. You will need to purchase 1 skein each of 2 colors in a worsted weight yarn (we recommend Encore) and an H (5.0 mm) hook. Recommended age: 8 and up. By Debbie Matthias.
