Harborside Aran is a true Aran weight, midway between worsted and bulky weight. It is based on the yarn used for traditional fisherman sweaters of the Aran Islands of Ireland in the 19th century. The yarn is warm, resists water, and wears like iron. Most notably, the 4-ply yarn is very round in section. That makes it ideal for showing off textured stitches. If you are thinking about cables, bobbles, and knit-purl textures, using Harbrside Aran will show off your skills!
