Cora is Mountain Meadow Wool's 3-ply worsted weight wool yarn. It is plump and springy, with a smooth surface that gives good stitch definition. The fiber is fine, with a 20.5 micron diameter, for a soft feel. Cora is produced entirely within Wyoming and the label even indicates which sheep ranch the fiber came from. The colors are marls, where a ply each of light, medium, and dark natural wool are spun together, giving the distinctive "barber pole" effect. Then the skeins are overdyed, for light, medium, and dark variations on a color.
