Superfine Merino is made with Merino wool fibers with a 19.5 micron diameter. That means the yarn is super-soft. This yarn is a single ply, which means that it has a different look in stockinette than a plied yarn, but but has a squishy, warm feel. It can be used for weaving, too, but is best used as weft, as the soft spin means the yarn might fuzz up in the reed if you use it as warp.

This yarn is a lovely cream color. If you want it in a color, it can be dyed with acid dyes.

Superfine Merino comes in a reeled hank, which must be wound into a ball before use. We are happy to wind the yarn for you at no charge, but this does make the yarn non-returnable. If you would like your skeins wound, please request it in the "Shipping Instructions" box during the checkout process. (If you will be dyeing this yarn, it is best to keep it in its reeled hank.)
