Rayon from Bamboo Weaving Yarn Rayon from bamboo, or viscose bamboo, is often called just "bamboo" but in reality, it is a type of rayon that is made from the bamboo plant in the same way that Tencel is made from wood pulp. Like other rayons, the bamboo fiber is broken down into a cellular slurry and then regenerated as a extruded fiber. Like other rayons, it is supple, breathable, takes dye well, and is often lustrous. We love bamboo for garments, scarves, and shawls. |
