Holkham Snood in Rios

Combine style and function with Elena Fedotova's generously-sized cowl. It is crocheted using Rios, one of the hand-dyed superwash wools from Malabrigo. This is a worsted weight yarn, so the fabric has some heft. Rios is naturally soft and supple but the stitch used for the cowl enhances that and gives it a delightfully squishy feel. The crocheter who made ours classed this as fairly easy but not a project for someone just starting out in crochet. She said that many crocheters might find it more demanding than they can do while watching TV but a perfect fit for sitting in a park and listening to the sounds of nature while they worked. After blocking, our cowl measured 21" around at the top, 35" around at the bottom, and 21" tall. It can be machine washed on gentle in cold water and then dried flat.
