The weaving class listed below is designed for those who have threaded a 4-harness loom, can follow a draft, and weave independently.

GOOSE-EYE BEDSIDE RUG

April 22-24 (Tues.-Thur.) 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 3 days

Rugs are fun to weave especially when you use two different yarns in the weft. Choose bold contrasting colors in Quebecoise and Burly Spun to make the Goose-Eye rug an attractive addition to your bedside, doorway, or in front of your fireplace. You will get a good refresher on winding a warp and dressing the loom using 8/4 carpet warp. You have the option of bringing your own loom to this class. By Bea Bonanno.

Please purchase your class supplies before the first day of class. You can order it online. Just be sure to include a message that we should hold the yarn at the store to pick up during class.

• 25" or wider loom; 4-harnesses
• 12-dent reed
• 301 heddles
• One tube 8/4 carpet warp or 8/4 poly/cotton carpet warp
• Two skeins Burly Spun in 1 color
• One skein each of Quebecoise in 2 colors
• Three flat, rag, or ski shuttles
• Boat shuttle and bobbin
• Scissors
• Tape measure

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
