It is organically grown (meeting GOTS standards), non-GMO, Fair Trade, and vegan. In addition, the dyes used are low-impact, environmentally gentle dyes. Anything you make out of Ecology Strings won't just be beautiful, it will have a great backstory. Plus, it is the softest, loftiest 10/2 cotton we've found!

Please note:  The beautiful Tanquis cotton that is used to make this yarn is somewhat scarce. Occasionally, the manufacturer has to substitute a 20/4 base yarn when dyeing if the 10/2 cotton is not available. The 20/4 is the same thickness and the same yardage as the 10/2 and uses the same sett and ppi.

To preserve the distinctive colors of Ecology Strings, launder in cool water and air dry rather than in a dryer. While these dyes generally do not bleed, you can reduce your risk of color migration by removing the fabric from the wash promptly, making sure as much water has been removed as possible, and drying the fabric quickly.
