December brings the shortest days and longest nights of the year. Count down those dark days until the solstice with a medley of hand-dyed skeins of yarn. Each day, from December 1 to 21, you'll open a little wrapped package. Then, after December 21, when the days start to get longer again, you'll have the makings of new projects for 2026. Each box includes 16 mini skeins of hand-dyed yarn (20 g each), two 100 g skeins of undyed yarn, three special treats, and a sprinkling of fun surprise items that are both fun and useful. You'll have enough yarn to make one-of-a-kind mittens, hats, scarves, or a shawl (or two!)

We are offering two boxes: Botanical and Luxe. They have different yarn bases and different dye palettes.

• Botanical--The yarn in this box is a sport-weight 100% Merino wool, non-superwash, for a soft, natural feel. The skeins are hand-dyed by Olivia Mills, of Elsenburg & Mills, using natural dye techniques and plant materials like black walnut, indigo, and madder root. Each skein has tonal variations on a single hue for intriguing depth of color. Shades vary from light and subtle to saturated and strong. The Botanical yarns are dyed in Lawrence, Kansas.
• Luxe--The Luxe skeins are a lusciously soft fingering-weight blend of 80% extra fine superwash Merino wool, 10% silk, and 10% yak. Deja Mackey, of Lucky Duck Fibers, is hand-dyeing them in deep, rich jeweltones. The colors are tonal, creating unique skeins with a slight silken shimmer. The Luxe skeins are dyed in Tecumseh, Kansas, just northwest of Lawrence.
