Silken Stacked Twill Scarf

Dec. 6-7 (Sat.-Sun.) 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 2 days

Imagine the feel of soft luxurious silk against your neck. Not only a wonderful feeling material, but fun to work with too! Silk weaving requires some special handling skills, so why not learn how to work with it in this stacked twill design? The twill patterns are not difficult to follow, but the color play of two highly contrasting shades gives the design a zigzag movement. You will choose 2 skeins each of 2 colors of Malabrigo's Mora yarn. Materials not included. By Katie Werner.

Please purchase your class supplies before the first day of class. You can order it online. Just be sure to include a message that we should hold the yarn at the store to pick up during class.

    Class supply list:

  • Two skeins each of 2 highly contrasting colors Malabrigo Mora. We used #862 Piedras and #195 Black. Malabrigo has discontinued #195 Black in the Mora Silk yarn. If you want your contrast color in black, you can substitute with Mariquita #5500 Black. Mariquita is a Baby Alpaca/Tencel blend yarn with similar drape and luster as the Mora.
  • One boat shuttle and bobbin
  • Scissors and tape measure
