The Schacht 36" standard floor loom is a beautiful, versatile loom that can do most all-purpose weaving and even the occasional rug. It is made to order for you at the Schacht factory in Boulder, Colorado. The manufacturing lead time is typically 5-6 weeks. You can choose either eight harnesses or four now-four later. (The four now-four later comes with four harnesses but with the castle capacity to add four more later.)

All Schacht standard floor looms arrive almost completely assembled, with only the apron bars to be tied on, the heddles slipped onto their bars, and the crank handle installed. Each comes with:

• jack mechanism that pushes each harness up from the center point of the frame
• stainless steel heddle bars
• 1000 inserted eye heddles
• stainless reed of your choice--6, 8, 10, 12, or 15 dent (please enter your choice in the box above)
• easy tie-up system with pre-measured cords that slide into a slot from the back of each treadle
• removable breast and back beams for ease in threading
• friction brake on the warp beam and ratchet brake on the cloth beam
• 2 lease sticks and 3 apron bars
• brass reed hook

The basic Schacht floor loom is all many weavers need, but there are several options available for those using special techniques:

• the double back beam, useful for structures which require some warp threads to be controlled under separate tension
• a sectional beam with two-inch sections and an 18-inch circumference
• two additional treadles, for a total of 12
• a maple or cherry bench, available with or without coordinating bench bags for side storage
