There are few structures that deliver as much impact with as little effort as twill. This design, for example, has very easy-to-remember threading and treadling sequences but is very dynamic, thanks to the vibrant colors of Caterpillar and a lot of zig zags. The warp is the variegated cotton Caterpillar, sett at 15 epi. The weft is 3/2 Perle Cotton, beaten at 15 ppi. The kit makes eight hemmed placemats with finished dimensions of 13" x 17". They can be machine washed on gentle and machine dried.
