OOPS! OH NO! WHAT NOW? AND OTHER KNITTING DISASTERS

Become a more confident knitter by learning how to avoid trouble before you start, how to correct common mistakes without ripping out your work, and how to successfully rip and recover. Using small swatches, you will make mistakes and then learn to correct them. A must-have class for those wanting to feel more confident; some homework required before the start of class. PLEASE COMPLETE HOMEWORK PRIOR TO CLASS:
Swatch 1: Cast on 20 stitches and knit 4” in Stockinette Stitch (i.e. Row 1: Knit, Row 2: Purl, repeat Rows 1 and 2). Bind off all stitches.Swatch 2: Cast on 20 stitches and knit 2” in Stockinette Stitch as above, ending ready to work a right-side (knit) row. Next row: Knit 5, Purl 1, Knit 10, Purl 1, Knit 3. Resume knitting in Stockinette stitch until piece measure approx. 4” from beginning. Place all stitches on a holder, leaving yarn attached, do NOT bind off.
PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
