The crochet class listed below is suitable for crocheters who have been actively crocheting and would like to expand their technical skills. If you know how to crochet, but it has been a few years since you picked up a hook and yarn, plese take the Introduction to Crochet class first.

Mushroom Tote Bag

Let's make the viral Mushroom Tote! Learn how to make a round to square motif and how to attach crochet appliques. Use your favorite worsted weight yarn to make multi-colored mushrooms. You will also learn ways to join your mushroom motifs together. This is not a beginner project and you must know how to do basic crochet stitches independently. By Rebecca Cook.

Supplies to bring, all of which are available at the Yarn Barn:

• Download and print the Mushroom Tote pattern (free).
• 365-400 yards total of a variety of worsted weight yarn in at least 4 colors. We love worsted weight yarns like Nifty Cotton ( 1 skein each of two colors) and Happy Cotton in unlimited colors for the mushroom appliques.
• 4.25 mm crochet hook
• Blunt tapestry needle
• Scissors

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
