This Corriedale sliver is produced in New Zealand. It is fairly soft, with a fiber diameter of 30-27 microns, quite durable, and well crimped. The staple length is about 4 1/4 inches.
Corriedale has good elasticity, so it makes resilient knitted and woven fabrics. It felts reasonably well (not as fast as Merino or Targhee) but will make a firm, slightly hairy felt with a little elbow grease. This line comes in so many colors that it is a great choice for those wanting to experiment with color blending, either by carding or layering.
Sold in 4-ounce increments; ordering quantity 1 is an order for 4 ounces.
