Three distinct patterns are crocheted in this breezy summer top. The back is worked from the top down in an openwork stitch. The front adds a section of double crochet below the yoke. Once the front and back are joined, the peplum of lacy scallops is worked downward in the round. The peplum and openwork pattern are worked following a chart. Maldives is designed to be loose-fitting, worn with approximately 6" of ease. Finished chest measurements are 36 (40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60)" with finished lengths of 23 (23, 23.5, 24, 24.5, 25, 25.5)". Medina is a summer dream, with one warm color flowing into another. It blends 37% cotton with 36% acrylic and 27% viscose for a breathable yarn that makes great warm-weather garments. It is a DK weight yarn and is crocheted in this project at 18 dc = 4". Medina can be machine washed in cold on delicate and dried flat. Due to the print effect, some dye may release during the laundering process.
