Beginning Knitting for Kids

July 7-9 (Mon.-Weds) 10 a.m.-noon 3 days

Start knitting with this class by learning the basic techniques of casting on, binding off, seaming, and knit and purl stitches while making this fun ear warmer. You will need to buy one skein of super bulky weight yarn (we recommend Encore Mega), straight knitting needles size US 11, and a tapestry needle for seaming. Recommended age: 8 and up. Please purchase your class supplies before the first day of class. You can order it online. Just be sure to include a message that we should hold the yarn at the store to pick up during class. The shipping will be removed before we process your order.

Supplies to bring, all of which are available at the Yarn Barn:

• 1 skein of super bulky weight yarn like Plymouth Encore Mega.
• Single point knitting needles US 11
• Blunt end tapestry needle

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2-hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
