Beginning Knitting-- Scrunch Scarf

August 2 Saturday 10 a.m.-noon

You will learn the basics of knitting with a scarf pattern that will give you lost of practice in making those knit and purl stitches. This will be a fun and fast project using super bulky yarns and switching between US 15 and US 11 needles to create the "scrunched" sections. By Debbie Matthias.

Supplies to bring, all of which are available at the Yarn Barn:

• Download and print the Scrunch Scarf pattern (free)
• Approximately 240 yards of a super bulky weight yarn like Encore Mega or Malabrigo Rasta.
• Circular 24" US 15 and double point US 11
• Blunt tapestry needle

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
