Long and swingy, the Allisa cardigan is ready to go with you to the beach, the library, or a picnic. The simple stockinette body and sleeves contrast with the wide ribbed collar that looks great open, pinned, or even belted. The sweater is worked from the top down. The shoulders have raglan shaping and stitches are held on holders for the sleeves while the body is completed. Then, picked up stitches are added to the reserved stitches and the sleeves are worked from the shoulder down. Finally, stitches are picked up and worked in ribbing for the collar and front bands. Finished chest measurements are 34 (37, 40, 43.5, 46, 50, 53)" with finished back lengths of 27.25 (27.5, 27.75, 28, 28.5, 28.5, 29.25)". The sweater can be hand washed and dried flat. • tapestry needle
