The Judgy Goose Top is an easy crochet top that can be worn on its own or as an element for seasonal layering. The back and front panels are worked separately, then seamed together. The button bands are worked into the front panels before seaming. The sleeves are crocheted directly onto the body and then borders are added for the collars and sleeves. The finished chest measurements are 35.8 (39, 42.1, 46, 49.6) (53.5, 57, 63, 67.3)" with finished lengths of 16.5 (17.7, 18.5, 20, 20) (20.9, 20.9, 20.9, 20.9)". The top's designer, Lolla Nanni, recommends an oversized fit with 4-6" of positive ease. This sweater can be hand washed and dried flat. Lolla rates this design as good for beginning crocheters.

Kingston, from Jill Draper Makes Stuff, is a true tweed in a DK weight. It is made entirely within the state of New York, from 100% Targhee wool. It is perfect for those spring or fall days where the sun is shining but you welcome a little warmth. In this project, Kingston is worked at 15 sts x 18 rows of single crochet in a 4" square. A 5.5mm or US size I is recommended.

The kit includes the pattern downloaded from Ravelry and the yarn. You will also need:

• crochet hook in US size I / 5.5mm (OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE)

• 5-6 buttons, 0.75-1" (but this can be customized)
