Intersecting stripes don't have to make a plaid! Asymmetrical striping is a fun way to spice up a plain weave fabric. Four colors are striped in the warp, sett at 10 epi, but only two in the weft, and the two weft colors are used in unequal proportions for a more unusual look. The yarn is Lanaloft Sport from the Brown Sheep Company. Lanaloft Sport is a single-ply 100% wool yarn that comes in beautiful clear colors and earthy naturals. The finished shawl is approximately 23" x 76". It can be hand washed and air dried.
