These Schacht hand cards are available in two gauges--72 points per inch and 112 points. The coarser cloth is good for most wool fibers, while the finer cloth is the better choice for very fine fibers or down. They come as a pair, with curved backs and a tenoned join connecting the handle to card for durability. The carding surface is approximately 4" x 7".
