Edited by Mimi Smith and Gretchen Wheelock. In 2011, the Weavers' Guild of Rochester (NY) celebrated its 65th anniversary. It marked the occasion with a gallery show of its members' work. This book celebrates the guild's history of weaving and looks forward to new traditions in weaving. The first section of the book remember the history of the guild, the second documents the anniversary show, and the third and largest section gives instructions to recreate 33 projects. They range from 4 to 16 harnesses and encompass such techniques as supplemental warp, advancing twill, Bronson lace, overshot, and plain weave. Weave the projects as they are or use them as inspiration for your own design work.
