The Tunisian Crochet Handbook

Tunisian crochet, also called "afghan crochet," is a variation on crochet that uses a special hook and shares some aspects with knitting. It typically produces a dense, thick fabric that is perfect for warm garments and durable functional pieces. Toni Lipsey subtitles her book "A Beginner's Guide" but it is so much more than that. While it does teach the basics of Tunisian crochet, it also teaches more advanced stitches and techniques.
