Detailed Description

Straightforward Mitts

February 25 (Sun.) 1:30-3:30 p.m. 3 weeks

Fingerless mitts are perfect as we transition into spring.  Inspired by Stephen West's Herbivore shawl, these mitts, designed by Mone Drager, feature an intriguing, twisted rib design.  You will work in the round and learn to create twisted stitches, mirrored increases, how to work thumb gusset shaping, and how to complete the thumb.  (Note: this is not a beginning knitting class, you should be comfortable with casting on, knitting, and purling before enrolling.  Previous experience knitting in the round preferred, but not required.)  By Cheryl Murray.
