PLYING TECHNIQUES ON A DROP SPINDLE

Go beyond 2-ply with three techniques to create 3-ply yarns using a spindle: chain ply, traditional 3-ply, and crepe. We will discuss why you might choose one of these techniques instead of a 2-ply and practice making small samples of each type of yarn. Please bring at least one 1- to 3-ounce spindle to class with 2 ounces or 50 yards of singles spun and left on your spindle.  We will provide a fiber goody bag.  By Caitlin Wilson.
