There are lots of projects using hand painted yarn and generally it is fun to let the color go where it will in the weaving. But for this project, we calculated the warp length based on the length of the color repeat for the Rayon Metallic. That means that the same color appears on adjacent warp threads, almost as if the warp were painted on the loom. Then we wove it with a single color of 5/2 Rayon, which allows the warp, with its pools of color and metallic thread, to dominate.
