Shelter is the flagship yarn of Brooklyn Tweed and the first yarn produced by the company back in 2010. It is a woolen spun yarn, meaning that the fibers are pointing in all different directions, creating a slightly fuzzy yarn with wonderful loft and softness that is lightweight and exceptionally warm. It has a rustic look, with occasional thick and thin areas and a bit of vegetable matter from time to time--a testament to Brooklyn Tweed's dedication to minimizing processing as much as possible.
