Schacht's Sidekick is designed to be compact and lightweight but sturdy enough for everyday spinning. When you are ready to travel, fold the treadles toward the wheel and stow the flyer and bobbin. It takes up minimal space--21.5" x 8.25" x 15". When you are ready to spin, unfold it and enjoy spinning on a well-engineered wheel. The Sidekick's features include:

Schacht has designed their wheels with interchangeable parts. The Sidekick can use the same bobbins and flyer as the Schacht Matchless and Ladybug wheels, so your existing bobbins can do double duty. A separate Bulky Plyer Flyer package is available to make plying your yarn easier with a larger orifice, large capacity bobbins, and sliding flyer hooks. The Bulky Plyer Flyer is ordered to fit a specific Schacht wheel but can be adapted to any of them by ordering separate front maiden and bearings. The same flyer and whorls that are used on the Sidekick are used in the Matchless and Ladybug.

The Sidekick comes with:
