We designed this scarf to be simple, rugged, and handsome. It was woven on a rigid heddle loom, which gives maximum woven length from the warp, but it could also be woven on a loom with harnesses-just expect the scarf to be a little shorter due to the loom waste. The warp uses Rowan's Felted, a tweedy blend of Merino wool, alpaca, and viscose. The scarf has accent stripes of Nature Spun Sport, a 100% wool 3-ply yarn. The weaving couldn't be easier but the scarf doesn't seem too plain thanks to the texture of the Felted Tweed and the stripe accents.
