Rambouillet Top
The Rambouillet breed comes from Rambouillet, France. It was developed in the late 1700's and brought to the US in the 1840's. This hardy-breed is also known as French Merino because it was Spanish Merino that was bred to develop it. Rembouillet is a hardy-breed, with a long staple length and micron count of 20-23. It's great for beginner and advanced spinners. It dyes beautifully and is excellent for wet and needle felting.
This wool can be dyed using Washfast dyes.
