We love the variegated colors of 8/2 unmercerized cotton. They do the work of making the fabric exciting and you don't need a complex structure. Here, we've combined a variegated color with two solid colors of 8/2 unmercerized cotton. The structure is an easy 4-harness twill variation that gives an overall texture. We used all three colors in the warp, sett at 20 epi, and wove a set of four different but related towels: one each using one the three warp colors as weft and a fourth towel that uses all three as weft. The kit makes 4 towels, each approximately 14" x 22". They can be machine washed and dried.

• 8/2 Variegated Cotton: 1 cone
• 8/2B Cotton: 1 tube each of 2 colors
• 18" weaving width
• 4 harnesses
• 10-dent reed
• 360 heddles
• boat shuttle and 3 bobbins

Our towels are woven using 8/2 Variegated Cotton in color 9843 Wild Grape with 8/2 B Cotton colors 5153 Purple and 5029 Bermuda.
