The inspiration for these towels was a scallop pattern we found in a weave draft book. We planned the first towel around it and then played around with different tie-ups and treadlings. The result is this set of towels that are related by color and threading but not identical, all in the classic towel yarn 8/2 unmercerized cotton. The project makes 3 towels, each approximately 14" x 26". They can be machine washed and dried.

You will need:

• 1 tube each of 3 colors of 8/2B cotton
• 18" weaving width
• 4 harnesses
• 12-dent reed
• 414 heddles
• boat shuttle and 3 bobbins

Our towels are woven using 8/2B Cotton in colors 1430 Orange, 1315 Light Orange, and 4272 Blue.
