The crochet class listed below is suitable for crocheters who have been actively crocheting and would like to expand their technical skills. If you know how to crochet, but it has been a few years since you picked up a hook and yarn, please take the Introduction to Crochet class first.

MY FIRST TUNISIAN CROCHET-- LAMIA WRAP

The cozy Lamia Shawl pattern designed by Toni Lipsey uses a worsted/heavy worsted weight yarn to show off alternating Tunisian stitches. Start small at the bottom corner and see how quickly you progress with this triangular shawl pattern. You will need to be proficient in basic crochet skills to take this class, but you will learn beginning Tunisian crochet techniques. By Rebecca Cook.

Class supply list:

• Download and print the Lamia Wrap pattern ($7.50)
• 600 yards of a worsted or heavy worsted weight yarn. We recommend Sirdar's Jewelspun Aran for a variegated yarn or Wooldreamers Mota for a solid version.
• US size K or 6.5 mm Tunisian crochet hook with 29"-32" cable, end stoppers if using an interchangeable set.
• Locking ring stitch markers

PARKING: The parking garage is located at 927 New Hampshire Street. Top level parking is free. Level 2 parking is $2.00 to park 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Street level and basement level parking is limited to 2 hours. Pay stations are located at each stairwell on the street level. Sunday parking is free downtown.
