The minimal loom waste of a rigid heddle loom means that you can weave this scarf using just one skein of Kettle Tweed. You'll sett the warp at 12 or 12.5 epi. The scarf is plain weave but the subtle color variation within each skein and the tweed flecks give the fabric depth and interest. The yarn is a blend of Merino wool, baby llama, rayon bamboo, and Donegal so it is soft and warm, with a little more drape than all-wool yarn. The skeins are dyed in small batches so each skein is unique. The simple style and variety of colors make this scarf suitable for both men and women, young and old. The finished scarf is approximately 6.25" x 68" plus fringe. It can be hand washed and air dried.
You will need:
- 7" weaving width rigid heddle loom
- 12-dent or 12.5-dent rigid heddle
- flat shuttle or boat shuttle and bobbins
