The Merino Top starts with a fine (21.5 micron) Merino fiber. It is dyed in a range of lovely solid colors. The crimpy fiber has a staple of 2 1/2-4 inches and is a pleasure to spin. The resulting yarn is soft enough to be worn against the skin, so it is great for hats, scarves, and sweaters. It can be coordinated with the blended colors of the Merino Multicolor Top.

Felting is fast and easy with the Merino Top. Expect shrinkage of 30-50%, depending on the thickness of the felt.
