There are lots of ponchos out there but we're impressed with the shoulder shaping that gives Marjoram a sleek fit at the neck and shoulders. The front and back are both made "log cabin" style, beginning with the center rectangle and then picking up stitches along one side to build the next rectangle, and then next, and so on. The shoulders are shaped with short rows, which not only gives a nice fit but makes the perfect frame for the dramatic collar. The shoulders are joined with a 3-needle bind-off and then stitches are picked up and worked in garter stitch for the collar. The finished widths are 26 (30, 34)" with a 30" length for all sizes, not including the collar. The poncho can be machine washed in a mesh bag and dried flat. Berroco rates this Amy Christoffers design as easy.
