Lucky Duck Fiber Co. was founded by Yarn Barn's own Deja Mackey and is located just a few miles from us, in Tecumseh, Kansas. That's where Deja hand-dyes the fiber in vivid, joyful colors. She chose to work with Blue Faced Leicester for its long staple, semi-lustrous surface, and soft hand. Because of the staple length, yarn spun from it is durable and resists pilling.
