Louët carders require no adjustment; the non-slipping gears are enclosed and require no lubrication. The extra long teeth allow the carder to produce thicker batts than most carders. The Junior Carder has these same great qualities but is scaled for those who are preparing only small amounts of fiber at a time because its drum is a modest 4" wide.

The Junior carder comes with:

• 4" wide by 10.5" diameter drum
• capability to produce batts of approximately 1.4 oz
• surface speed ratio of 9:1
• enclosed gear box to prevent fibers from entangling the gears
• doffing pin, brush, and clamps
