If you've got six harnesses, you can embed a twill pattern within a plain weave background! We've done it here and highlighted those bands with different warp colors. The technique is a fun challenge because the two different structures require different setts--16 epi for plain weave and 20 epi for the point twill. Don't worry--the instructions tell you how it's done! The kit makes one scarf approximately 9.5" x 70". It can be hand washed and dried flat.
To make it extra-nice, we used two very luxurious yarns, both hand-dyed here in Kansas. The yarn used for the main warp color and the weft is a blend of 65% superwash Merino wool, 20% silk, and 15% yak, dyed by 316 Dye Studio in Wichita. The accent warp stripe yarns are dyed in Kansas City by Red Door Fibers. They are a combination of 60% superwash Merino wool, 20% silk, and 20% nylon.
