Linen can look crisp and formal or casual and rustic. This single-ply linen is on the rustic side, with a slight thick-and-thin texture and occasional subtle slubs. Since it is a very fine single-ply yarn, it is not suited for warp but would make an excellent weft for towels, napkins, and clothing fabric. The natural color is something between gray and beige. The bleached version has been bleached to a soft white color. Linen takes dye well using Procion. The yarn surface is smooth with a slight sheen. The sheen can be enhanced by ironing or minimized by machine drying.
