The Sonata Encore is an updated version of Kromski's original Sonata. With the new Sonata Encore, the flyer has been reoriented to face the spinner. It is held in place by magnets, making bobbin changing faster and easier. The flyer has sliding hooks that are roomy enough for spinning bulky yarn. The Sonata Encore comes as a single drive wheel with Scotch tension but also includes a longer drive band so it can be used as a double drive wheel.

The Sonata Encore's features include:

• 19" diameter wheel
• 3/8" orifice that can be adjusted up to 33" from the floor
• ratios of 5.5, 9.5, 10.5, and 15 to 1
• sealed ball bearings at the hub
