By Angie Parker
Angie Parker begins her introduction with "Krokbragd is the Scandinavian weaving technique that is difficult to pronounce, slow to weave and yet stragely addictive to those who learn to master its intricacies." Leafing through the book, you can see why: color photos of stunning finished works by Angie and fellow artists show the range of what this weft-faced structure is capable of. The section on how the weaving is done is especially helpful, with diagrams that break down the path that each weft pick takes, which can be the most challening element of krokbragd. The book includes chapters on the equipment and materials used, how to create your own krokbragd designs, and the use of color. A chapter is dedicated to krokbragd in rug weaving, and has great tips on rugs and troubleshooting common problems.
