Show your love for the Golden State with these 26 adorable beanies, each one proclaiming something to love about California. The regions are:

• Southern California-- LA, surfing, the desert, and Hollywood
• Central California-- mountains, sequoias, poppies, and Death Valley
• Central Coast-- the Pacific Coast Highway, butterflies, and ocean life
• Northern California-- Golden Gate Bridge, forests, rivers, and lakes

Twenty-five of the hats are designed for worsted weight yarn. (The lone exception uses DK weight.) The hats are knit from the bottom up in the round, following large, full-color charts. If you have fond memories of a family vacation to California, a good friend who lives there, or are planning a West Coast trip in the future, commemorate it with a special hat!
