It looks like it would take dozens of colors to make the Woven Sky Throw. Surprise! It is just two colors of Major, a multicolored yarn with a long color sequence. The throw uses a technique called entrelac, where the work begins with a series of triangles and then you pick up stitches along the edge of the triangles to begin creating squares. Each square is built onto the last, so you don't have anything to sew together. After the entrelac center is complete, you pick up and work a garter stitch border around all four sides. The throw comes in two sizes. The small size, which measures approximately 31.25" x 42", is a great baby blanket or lap throw. The large size, measuring approximately 50.5" x 69", is ready for you to stretch out under! Major can be machine washed and dried, so it's easy to take care of, too.

The kit includes the pattern and yarn. You will also need:

• 32" or longer circular needle in US size 10.5 (OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE)
• tapestry needle
