The patterning on this pair of stud buttons was inspired by the vaulted ceiling in the historic castle, Castelo de S. Jorge, in Lisbon, Portugal. The studs are removable closures that can be used to close a cardigan or fix a loosely woven scarf around your neck. They work something like post earrings. The stud has a post on the back that goes through the fabric. A leather back snaps over the end of the post from the underside of the fabric and holds the stud in place.

The design is rendered in white brass and measures approximately 1.25" in diameter. They are sold as a pair.
